Cross Country run. I was 8th. (in Senior race)
I believe [Sensons?] lost the Junior race by about 4 points, in the Senior, only six ran :- (in order of finishing) Greenwood, myself, Singer, Stocker, Ridgeway, Gurney. (Ridgeway may have been before Stocker.) Ridleys won I believe.

Filled in hole in orchard.
Much talk about now about a farm. Try & get “Pheasantries,” Ellesborough. Dad went & saw agent, & next day or so, Mum & Dad went & looked over house. Dad saw agent again, afterwards wrote letter, saying the improvements he needed – new gates, pump, well cover, etc.

Went & had a look at “Pheasantries” from road, & from woods at back. Saw rabbits & joey squirrel in woods. Found a few fossils.

Went with spade & trowel over to Hall End, & dug by the foundations of the former farmhouse.
In afternoon, Mr. & Mrs. Fisher came for Warren & Rene. We visited Hall End (again for Warren, Rene, Jane & I) after tea.
